Rizzle Kicks reveal their love of Shaun the Sheep

Rizzle Kicks’ Jordan Stephens is a huge fan of Shaun the Sheep.

The British hip-hop act, which also features Harley Alexander-Sule, have provided music for the soundtrack of the new film and Jordan has revealed himself to be a long-time fan of the character, who first appeared in the 1995 short film ‘A Close Shave’.

Speaking at the European premiere of the new movie, Jordan told BANG Showbiz: ”[The characters have] just got a completely unique look, obviously. It’s a very British style of comedy. I mean, you just look back at ‘Wallace and Gromit’, it’s very dry humour. I just love it. Shaun in ‘A Close Shave’ was my favourite ‘Wallace and Gromit’ film.”

Since starring in ‘A Close Shave’, Shaun has become a popular character on children’s TV and Jordan was amazed to learn that the seven-minute episodes were broadcast in 180 countries globally.

He shared: ”I didn’t even know he killed it, I didn’t even know he was doing so well. They were like, ‘Shaun, yeah, he’s got his own TV show.’ I typed it in and I was like, ‘It’s Shaun! It’s the sheep!’ I love him.”
