Chris Pratt: Parks and Recreation bosses ran out of ideas

Chris Pratt admits it was time for ‘Parks and Recreation’ to come to an end because show bosses are ”creatively spent”.

Chris Pratt thinks ‘Parks and Recreation’ bosses had to end the show because they ”ran out of ideas”.

The 35-year-old star rose to fame partly thanks to his role as Andy Dwyer in the NBC sitcom – which is set to return for its seventh and final season next year – but the actor admits it is about time the show came to an end.

He said: ”I think there’s a collective feeling that people are creatively spent. You kind of run out of ideas.”

Since starring in ‘Parks and Recreation’ – which was renewed for its final season in March – Chris has gone onto appear in a number of films including ‘The Lego Movie’ and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, but he has already set his sights on directing because he wants to have creative control over his projects.

The ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ actor added to GQ magazine: ”I’m always biting my tongue. When I’m on set, I kind of wish I could just tell everybody what to do.

”If I could tell everybody what to do, it would be great, and it would be done faster. And so that’s what I’m working toward. I want control. I want control over something.”
