A man has been bitten by a rattlesnake on the set of ‘The Maze Runner’.

The snake wrangler – who was hired to remove the dangerous reptiles from the set of the science fiction thriller – was bitten by the baby rattlesnake as he attempted to capture it and was quickly rushed to hospital.

According to one of the film’s young stars Thomas Brodie-Sangster, the man has since made a full recovery.

He told the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column at the Cinema Society screening of the post-apocalyptic teen picture: ”He got bit, but it was fine.

”He got bit by a little baby rattlesnake. He did get rushed to the hospital, but he was the only one.”

The 24-year-old actor and his co-star Dylan O’Brien were lucky to escape injury themselves after discovering two lethal black widow spiders.

Fortunately the pair weren’t phased by the incident and Thomas insists the find only added to the ”excitement” on the Louisiana set.

When asked about the kinds of snakes they encountered, he said: ”Not all poisonous, but we had five different types of venomous snakes and two different kinds of poisonous spiders.

”There was a scene Dylan and I do by a log . . . we did it for hours, and then we got up and a bit of bark fell off and there were two black widows where we were resting our backs. It kind of added to the excitement.”
