Prince Charles hoping for granddaughter

Prince Charles is hoping his son Prince William and his wife Duchess Catherine have a daughter as their next baby.

Britain’s Prince Charles wants to have a granddaughter.

The 65-year-old royal is looking forward to becoming a grandfather again after his son Prince William and wife Duchess Catherine – who already have 14-month-old son Prince George – announced earlier this week that they’re expecting their second child together, but hopes the little one will be a baby girl.

Speaking to well-wishers in Bermondsey, South London, yesterday (09.09.14), he said of the news: ”It’s wonderful. I’m happy I’m going to be a grandfather again. I’m looking forward to it – but I hope it will be a girl this time.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who got married in 2011, were forced to announce the pregnancy on Monday (08.09.14) after Catherine – who was formerly known as Kate Middleton – was forced to pull out of a visit to Oxford University as she was suffering from severe morning sickness.

The brunette beauty is currently being cared for by doctors at Kensington Palace in London and her brother-in-law Prince Harry is hopeful that she’ll overcome the sickness quickly so that she can start to enjoy the pregnancy.

He said previously: ”I hope my sister-in-law gets better, and gets better soon. And the two of them have the opportunity to go through the whole process again in a little bit of peace and quiet.

”Last time I saw her, she was feeling OK, feeling pretty poorly but I think that’s to be suspected. Luckily I’m not a woman so I don’t have to go through that.”
