Steven Seagal ‘open’ to appearing in The Expendables

Steven Seagal has suggested he would like to appear in ‘The Expendables’.

Steven Seagal hasn’t ruled out appearing in ‘The Expendables’.

The ‘Under Siege’ actor has famously been involved in disagreements with Expendables star and creator Sylvester Stallone, but has now confirmed he’d be willing to join forces with his fellow action-hero.

He told ShortList magazine: ”I’m open to anything and we’ll see. Sly [Stallone] has called me a couple of times and talked about it, so let’s see what happens. You never know.”

The 62-year-old star – who’s confessed in the past to playing with the idea of creating his own team of action heroes to compete with ‘The Expendables’ – also admitted that many of his films have been formulaic, but insisted he was merely a hired hand who had minimal influence on what appeared on screen.

He explained: ”They were formulaic. But you have to keep in mind that we’re hired actors and we show up, and there were some folks in the studio who were choosing the scripts and telling me what kind of movies to do.

”But that’s the lot of hired actors. Why people keep coming back? Very good question… because there was nothing else out there.”
