Evan Rachel Wood is taking a break

Evan Rachel Wood is taking a break from Twitter following her split from Jamie Bell.

The 26-year-old actress, who announced her separation from her British husband of 19-months in a joint statement today (07.28.14), plans to stay away from her social media account  »for a while » to focus on their 10-month-old son and filming her upcoming movie, ’10 Things I Hate About Life’,’ in Los Angeles, but assured her fans she’ll be back.

Shortly after confirming their split, the ‘True Blood’ star told her 212,000 followers:  »Twitter break for a while. …to be continued. »

‘Billy Elliot’ star Jamie, 28, who previously used his Twitter account to praise his wife for being a  »warrior » after she gave birth to their baby boy last July, recently deleted his profile.

The former couple – who dated for a year until 2006 and reunited in 2011 following Evan’s split from rocker Marilyn Manson – tied the knot in October 2012.

A source previously indicated the couple, who were last seen together in November, were having problems for some time.

And a spokesperson for the duo insisted their split was mutual, saying:  »They both love and respect one another and will of course remain committed to co-parenting their son. This is a mutual decision and the two remain close friends. »
