January Jones cast in The Shuddering

‘Mad Men’ actress January Jones will star in George Ratliff’s supernatural thriller, ‘The Shuddering’.

January Jones has been cast in horror flick ‘The Shuddering’.

The ‘Mad Men’ actress will play the lead in George Ratliff’s supernatural thriller, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The script was penned by ‘The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia’ writer David Coggeshall.

Acclaimed independent movie producer Mary Jane Skalsk (‘The Station Agent’ and ‘The Visitor’) is producing alongside Damon Lane, John Santilli and Lawrence Mattis of Circle of Confusion (‘The Walking Dead’). Cargo Entertainment will be introducing the project at Berlin’s European Film Market.

Production on ‘The Shuddering’, which centres around a woman who returns to her old hometown where she once experienced strange visions, begins this summer once Jones has wrapped the last season of hit TV drama ‘Mad Men’.

Jones has successfully transitioned from the small screen and her role as blonde bombshell Betty Draper to the silver screen in recent years, with parts in ‘X-Men: First Class’ and opposite Liam Neeson in ‘Unknown’.

Ratliff’s last directorial project was ‘Salvation Boulevard’, which starred Pierce Brosnan, Jennifer Connelly and Ed Harris.
