Prince William presented rugby shirt for baby George

Prince William was presented with a Welsh national team rugby shirt for his baby son Prince George while attending the Wales versus South Africa game on Saturday (11.09.13).

Britain’s Prince William has been presented with a mini rugby shirt for Prince George.

The 31-year-old royal, who is patron of the Welsh Rugby Union, was on hand for the final of the Prince William Rugby Cup between Wales and South Africa at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday (11.09.13) and beamed with pride as he was given a sports shirt for his three-month-old son with Duchess Catherine.

The red jersey was presented to William by Welsh team captain Sam Warburton and features the number seven on the back, along with George’s name.

As part of his visit, the prince was given a tour of the stadium, which even included taking in a portrait of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth. The artwork was done by Cardiff-born artist Dan Llywelyn Hall.

According to HELLO! Magazine, William said he was ”proud” to be patron of the Welsh Rugby Union, especially during a ”truly memorable time” for rugby.

He added: ”And I am sure that – given the strength of the squad – this is only the beginning of a great period for Welsh rugby.”
