Prince Harry was given advice for treating his injured neck by Rugby players yesterday (29.10.13).

The fourth in line to the British throne and his father, the Prince of Wales, welcomed players and officials from all 14 nations currently taking part in the Rugby League World Cup in the UK to Clarence House in London for a reception.

At the event, Charles asked England rugby league player Sam Burgess if he could help Harry – who is preparing to take part in a grueling trek across the South Pole for charity – with a stiff neck.

Sam explained: ”Prince Charles said he might have to send Prince Harry to see me because he has hurt his neck.

”He said he had sought advice from Zara [Phillips’] husband Mike Tindall about it and mentioned Mike had helped. So we were talking about injuries and treatments and the need to ice his neck.”

A source close to the Prince claims he has suffered with the neck problem for some time.

The friend told the Express newspaper: ”It just flares up every now and again. He’s trying to get it fixed once and for all.”

In addition to his neck trouble, the Prince has also recently broken his toe, but is determined it won’t stop him undertaking his 208-mile extreme hike, accompanied by a team of disabled soldiers from the Walking With the Wounded charity.

A palace source said earlier this week: ”He’s broken his toe but he will still be taking part. It won’t have any impact on him. It’s still very much on.”
