Jessica Lowndes and Thom Evans have split.

The pair have been dating for seven months however the distance was becoming a problem as they are having to split their time between America where the ‘90210’ star is based, and the UK where the former rugby union star has work commitments.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ”It was a mutual decision and Jessica and Thom have been on and off for quite a while now.

”Jessica works mostly in America while Thom’s modelling work is in the UK.

”They have realised it is totally unfeasible trying to maintain a relationship from different sides of The Pond.”

Jessica and Thom have found it difficult to spent time together in recent weeks however, since they ended their relationship on amicable terms they may reconsider reuniting in the future.

The source explained: ”They have hardly seen one another of late. They are still friends and haven’t ruled out a reconciliation in the future, if things pan out differently.”

Thom was previously with model Kelly Brook since meeting her in a nightclub in November 2010 but they called time on their relationship in February after he grew jealous of her friendship with her former boyfriend Danny Cipriani.

Kelly later started dating Danny but dumped him in August when she discovered the rugby star had a number of saucy messages and steamy pictures from a series of girls on his phone, and Thom seems to be interested in finding out more about ”the state of” the brunette beauty’s romantic life.

The source added: ”Thom and Kelly aren’t getting back together any time soon but he has been asking questions about the state of her love life. You could say he has been sniffing around.”
