Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s landlord inundated with enquires

The landlord of Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Anglesey home has been bombarded with enquiries since it emerged yesterday (09.16.13) that the cottage is to go up for rent following William’s decision to return to London.

The landlord of Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Anglesey home has been bombarded with enquiries.

Sir George Meyrick, the owner of William and Catherine’s four-bedroom property in north Wales, has been inundated with people asking questions about the love nest after it emerged yesterday (09.16.13) the cottage is to go up for rent.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: ”This is a beautiful home with a private beach and breathtaking views of Snowdonia. It also has the added appeal of being the first home of the Duke and Duchess. I expect that it will go very quickly.”

The royal pair – who welcomed their first child Prince George into the world in July – reportedly paid £750-per-month for the property, but the new occupants are expected to pay considerably more as estate agents predict there will be a huge premium for the bragging rights of renting the home lived in by second-in-line to the throne.

Prince William recently announced his intention to quit the military after seven years of service in order to return to London full-time to focus on his royal duties alongside his wife.

A royal insider said: ”William and Kate will be very sad to leave what was their first home as man and wife.

”But with the birth of Prince George they are looking to the future and are ready to move to London to be closer to family and friends.

”They don’t have any plans to return to Wales yet but will sorely miss the people of Anglesey.”

The Duke and Duchess are expected to move into their refurbished home in Kensington Palace within the next few weeks.
