Mario Lopez has become a father for the second time.
The ‘Extra’ host and his wife Courtney Mazza welcomed a baby boy, Dominic, into the world on Monday evening (09.09.13) and the couple ”couldn’t be happier” with the new addition to their family.
Mario wrote on Twitter: ”It’s a boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please welcome Dominic Lopez to the world. Couldn’t be happier … Courtney and baby are doing just fine.”
The 39-year-old hunk and the Broadway dancer are already parents to Gia Francesca, who turns three on Wednesday (11.09.13).
Mario almost missed the birth of his son and was forced to rush straight to hospital from the set of ‘The X Factor’ USA.
He posted: ”Whoa.. Cutting it close. Just wrapped @TheXFactorUSA & I’m rushing to the hospital. Baby Lopez #2 is coming tonight! Baby better wait for me”.
The pair had decided to keep the sex of the baby a secret, a decision which didn’t sit well with their curious daughter Gia.
The ‘Saved by the Bell’ star recently told People magazine: ”[Gia]’s pointing at the baby and saying, ‘There’s a baby in there’.
”She wants to know if it’s a boy or a girl, but we don’t know because we’re waiting to find out. That’s kind of tough sometimes, we just don’t know!”
