Daniel Radcliffe is ‘terrible’ at balancing life and work

Daniel Radcliffe admits he is "terrible" at balancing his work and personal life.

The ‘Harry Potter’ actor – who shot to fame at a young age in the hit movie franchise – says working non-stop for over a decade has made it difficult for him to slow down and enjoy the fruits of his labor.

He candidly said: "I’m pretty terrible at the work-life balance. Because I earned very good money doing ‘Harry Potter’, it’s counterintuitive for a lot of people that I would work so hard now. But I’ve been working since I was nine and I’ve never known a life without a film set."

The 24-year-old star is instantly recognized around the world after portraying boy wizard Harry in eight successful movies although he is now eager to separate himself from the star-making role and seeks movie and stage parts which require physical changes.

He explained: "Because I have a very recognizable face, whenever I have an opportunity to change that face, it’s very exciting for me. It’s possibly one of the reasons I find doing accents so freeing. It’s such a transformative thing."

Although he may feel unease about his global fame, Daniel insists he is "lucky" to have started acting at such an early age as he no longer feels nervous on set, unlike many actors his age.

He added to Variety.com: "I’m meeting a lot of actors who are my age now and for some of them it’s their first time on a film set. I realize how unbelievably f***ing lucky I was, because I’m always at home on a film set."
