Kylie Minogue’s management tone down INXS sex scene

Kylie Minogue’s management had to step in to tone down a sex scene between her and late INXS frontman Michael Hutchence, which is being filmed for a new two-part series about the band.

A new INXS series will show Kylie Minogue and Michael Hutchence joining the Mile High Club.

‘Never Tear Us Apart: The Untold Story of INXS’ – which will document the Aussie rockers’ career with actors playing them – will feature Kylie and the late INXS frontman getting saucy in the sky on the first-class seats of a Qantas flight in the 1990s.

But the sexy scene, which the ‘I Should Be So Lucky’ hitmaker has never confirmed, has been toned down following a request from Kylie’s management.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Kylie’s people have been making enquiries about the script and her depiction.

"They have no legal standing or ability to demand any changes, but they are insisting it is handled respectfully.

"Early drafts of the script wouldn’t have been anything you could have watched with your parents, but the passion scene is now thought to be more suggestive than explicit."

Samantha Jade will play Kylie in the two-part mini-series, in which Luke Arnold – who has appeared in ‘Winners and Losers’ and ‘City Homicide’ – will portray mercurial singer Hutchence, who died in 1997 of a suspected suicide aged just 37.

Nicholas Master, Ido Drent and Andy Ryan will play band founders and brothers Tim, Jon and Andrew Farriss respectively.

Production on the series began last month.
