Britney Spears spends relaxing weekend with family

Britney Spears spent a low-key weekend with her family.

The ‘Gimme More’ singer left her new boyfriend David Lucando in Los Angeles last weekend and jetted back to her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, to enjoy a relaxing mini-break with her family.

The star kicked off her weekend in the deep South on Saturday (06.01.13) by watching her niece Maddie perform in a dance recital for Lemoine Academy of Dance, in Hammond.

A grinning Britney was happy to mingle with the locals as she watched the show with her sister Jamie Lynn, and was spotted singing along when one young dancer performed a routine to her chart-topping song ‘Toxic’.

Dancer Matthias Albrecht told RadarOnline.com the pop superstar even went backstage at the end of the show to congratulate the kids, presenting one of the teachers with a bouquet of flowers.

The 31-year-old star then hit Hammond’s North Cypress Gym for a serious workout session.

An eye-witness added to the gossip website: "She was running on a treadmill all by herself, like any other person. She looked hotter in person! Everyone was excited to see her."
