Pippa Middleton to throw Duchess Catherine’s baby shower

Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge will break royal tradition by letting her 29-year-old sister Pippa Middleton organize a baby shower ahead of her birth in July.

Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge will have a baby shower organized by her sister Pippa Middleton.

The 31-year-old beauty, who is expecting hers and husband Prince William’s first child in July, has been given the seal of approval by Queen Elizabeth to break royal tradition and let her 29-year-old former party planner sibling throw a memorable gathering for her family and friends to celebrate her pending motherhood.

A friend told The Sun newspaper: ”It isn’t royal tradition but Kate isn’t a traditional royal.”

Catherine – known as Kate Middleton prior to her nuptials in 2011 – also has a helping hand from her brother James, who is baking up a treat in the form on a dummy-shaped cake.

In keeping with the down-to-earth theme, goodie bags for the female guests will include candles and products from high-street stores The White Company and Jo Malone.

The friend added: ”She is modern and wants a normal life. Prince Harry, Kate and William are the Royal Family’s link to the younger generation.

”A baby shower wouldn’t normally happen if you’re in the Royal Family, but there is now a modern way of thinking.

”It will be a great day for everyone and Kate is doing this with the blessing of the Queen.”

Once the baby is born, it is predicted Catherine and William won’t have a ”traditional royal nanny” and plan to be hands-on parents, with the prince likely to leave his role as an RAF search-and-rescue helicopter pilot to spend more time with his wife.

Royal expert Jenny Bond recently said: ”William will be changing those nappies! I think we’ll be hearing very shortly that he’s going to leave the RAF and come closer to home.

”He’s determined to be there to support Kate and his kid. They’ll have to have some kind of nanny but maybe not full-time nor the traditional royal nanny.”
