Liam Hemsworth adjusting to fame

Liam Hemsworth is still adjusting to fame.

The 23-year-old Australian actor – who is engaged to Miley Cyrus – feels "fortunate" to have enjoyed worldwide career success but doesn’t take anything for granted.

He told Us Weekly magazine: "I’m truly fortunate to be part of this whole process after ‘The Hunger Games’. But I’m taking it day by day."

Though the hunky star is regarded as a pin-up to millions of girls, Liam insists he doesn’t understand why, even though he is careful to look after his toned physique.

He said: "I grew up surfing in Australia. I keep fit, I’m active and I eat very well. I don’t consider myself a heartthrob in any way, though. I’m just pinching myself."

Liam – who is based in Los Angeles – recently admitted he loves returning home to Australia to be with his family.

He said: "Having spent so much time away from my family, I miss being able to share good times with them. I can’t think of anything better than my whole family being together in one place."
