Emeli Sande picked up the PRS for Music Most Performed Work and Best Song Musically and Lyrically awards for her track ‘Next To Me’ at the 58th Ivor Novello Awards today (16.05.13), with other winners including Noel Gallagher and Calvin Harris.

Emeli Sande picked up two prizes at the 58th Ivor Novello Awards today (16.05.13).

The British singer was presented with both accolades for her hit track ‘Next To Me’ at the ceremony, taking home PRS for Music Most Performed Work and Best Song Musically and Lyrically.

Former Oasis star Noel Gallagher was another winner at the ceremony – which was held at London’s Grosvenor House hotel and recognises the achievements of songwriters – being presented with the award for Outstanding Song Collection, which he collected from The Kinks musician Ray Davies.

However, the 45-year-old rocker admitted he is in no rush to add to his impressive back catalogue – which includes debut solo LP ‘Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’.

Speaking to Absolute Radio on the red carpet, Noel – who was accompanied to the event by his wife Sara MacDonald – said: "I’m not anywhere with it (new record). I’ve always got a backload of songs that I can go to, but I can’t be arsed at the moment. I just literally can’t be bothered."

DJ-and-producer Calvin Harris walked away with the prestigious Songwriter of the Year prize after a releasing a string of successful singles featuring Rihanna, Florence Welch, Tinie Tempah, Ellie Goulding and others.

The Maccabees won Best Contemporary Song for their track ‘Pelican’, while Alt-J picked up the Album Award for their debut ‘An Awesome Wave’.

Other winners included Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, who picked up International Achievement, while legendary musician Randy Newman was presented with PRS for Music Special International Award.
