Cara Delevingne turns heads at Cannes

Cara Delevingne looked stunning on the opening night of Cannes Film Festival, wearing a black Burberry gown with a plunging neckline.

Cara Delevingne turned heads on the red carpet at Cannes last night (15.05.13).

The model of the moment attended the premiere of lavish drama ‘The Great Gatsby’, which opened the 66th annual Cannes Film Festival in France, and left spectators awestruck in a stunning floor-length black Burberry gown.

The 20-year-old beauty – who is the face of Burberry – echoed the glamour of the film’s Roaring Twenties theme in the silk and lace dress, which featured a plunging neckline.

Completing her look, Cara complimented her striking facial features with dramatic dark make-up and red lipstick, and adorned herself in Chopard jewels.

The model had some stiff competition in the style stakes, however, as other A-list stars including fellow model Georgia May Jagger, Cannes jury member Nicole Kidman and ‘Gatsby’ stars Carey Mulligan and Isla Fisher also dressed to impress.

Georgia – the daughter of iconic model Jerry Hall and Sir Mick Jagger – looked elegant in a red Roberto Cavalli gown, complete with a train. Meanwhile, Isla also opted for red in a strapless Oscar de la Renta gown with a ruched skirt.

‘Stoker’ actress Nicole, who will help decide the winner of the prestigious Palme d’Or prize at the festival, struck a chord with fashion critics in a gorgeous vintage Dior dress featuring brightly coloured floral embroidery.

White and cream were also predominant colours amongst the chic beauties on the red carpet outside the Theatre Lumiere. Carey chose a simplistic satin Dior gown, while songbird Lana Del Rey chose a sweeping black-and-white Veronica Lake gown, and veteran supermodel Cindy Crawford, 47, proved she is still as sexy as ever in a Grecian-style white Cavalli gown with a gold neckline.
