Fall Out Boy, Bring Me The Horizon and Pierce The Veil lead nominations for this year’s Relentless Kerrang! Awards.

The heavy metal groups scored four nods each when the UK magazine’s shortlist was announced last night yesterday (08.05.13).

Fall Out Boy – who made their return in 2013 after a three year hiatus – scored two nominations in the Best Single category, where they are up for ‘My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)’ and the appropriately titled ‘The Phoenix’. They are also up for Best International Band and Best Event for their low key show at London’s Camden Underworld earlier this year.

Bring Me The Horizon are nominated for Best Album for ‘Sempiternal’, Best Single and Best Video for ‘Shadow Moses’, and Best British Band.

Pierce The Veil are nominated for Best international Newcomer and Best International Band, as well as Best Video and Best Single for ‘King For A Day’.

Other acts scoring high in the nomination stakes include Paramore and Black Veil Brides, with three nods each.

Kerrang! Editor James McMahon said: "Once again the Relentless Kerrang! Awards returns to celebrate all that is great and good in rock music.

"I can say for a fact that all other awards ceremonies are crap compared to ours. I know this because I’ve been to loads of them, and ours is the only one where I’ve ever ended up on a rooftop talking to Jack Black about what pigeon tastes like at 3am."

The ceremony will be hosted by Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus and Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian and will take place at London’s Troxy venue on June 13.
