Britain’s Duchess Catherine was ”cool” at school.
Singer Bo Bruce studied and played hockey with the royal – who was known as Kate Middleton before her marriage to Prince William – and her younger sister Pippa Middleton at prestigious Marlborough College, Wiltshire, South West England, and says the siblings were always nice to her, as were their parents Carole and Michael.
She said: ”They were nice to me. They were kind and I thought they were cool. I’ll tell you who was really good to me – their parents. I was the little one on the team, and they always made sure I was all right.”
Bo’s full title is Lady Catherine Anna Brudenell-Bruce but she believes her ”posh title” is irrelevant in this day and age.
The 28-year-old singer – who is estranged from her father, impoverished aristocrat the Earl of Cardigan – told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: ”It’s funny, I never had to think about it – the posh title – until I started trying to be a musician.
”Being a lady in 2013 is irrelevant; no one understands it. It’s a word in my passport; that’s all. I just happened to be born into this family that has now tragically disintegrated.”
