Prince Harry plans musical garden for Chelsea Flower Show

Britain’s Prince Harry has commissioned a special musical piece to be played in his charity garden at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Britain’s Prince Harry is planning a musical surprise at the Chelsea Flower Show.

The 28-year-old royal has dug deep to come up with an innovative idea for the garden he is building in association with his Sentebale charity for the annual London show later this month, and has commissioned a special song to add to the experience.

Jinny Blom, who is designing the garden for the prince, told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: ”He doesn’t like to encroach too much, but he did say it was lacking music.

”I have commissioned and composed a piece for the garden that will play very quietly while it is on show.

”I think it is the first time that there has been music in a garden at the Flower Show on every day, rather than just on the press day.”

Harry’s charity organisation Sentebale provides schooling, healthcare and meals to African orphans in Lesotho, so the prince has decided to take a traditional approach.

His ”forget-me-not” garden will feature flowers native the country, arranged around a roundhouse.

Jinny added: ”It is very fitting for the garden and the charity as I feel that music transcends language.

”Prince Harry’s charity is based in Lesotho which is twinned with Wales and both these places have great musical heritages. This reflects that.”
