Duchess Catherine ‘closer than ever’ to mum

Britain’s Duchess Catherine has ”never been closer” to her mother Carole than she is now during her pregnancy.

Britain’s Duchess Catherine has ”never been closer” to her mother.

The 31-year-old royal and her husband Prince William will welcome their first child into the world in July and Catherine – who was known as Kate Middleton before her marriage – is relying on the support of Carole Middleton, who wants to do everything she can to help with her grandchild.

A source said: ”Carole is pulling out all the stops to prepare for her first grandchild. She’s so excited and is ensuring they only have the best for the baby. It’s a wonderful time for Kate and Carole and they’re both loving preparing for the new arrival. They’ve never been closer.”

It has been reported that William and Catherine will move in with her parents for several weeks after the birth of their baby, so extensive security plans are being drawn up to protect the house in Berkshire, South East England.

The source added to Grazia magazine: ”Security will, of course, have to be at a maximum. Unfortunately, a royal baby is a terrorist target and that needs to be seriously considered. Kate doesn’t like too much fuss, but understands implicitly the importance of security at her parents’.

”It will be discreet, but it will be of the highest standard, like all the other palaces.”
