Duchess of Cambridge shops for baby goods

Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge has been shopping for baby goods.

The 31-year-old royal visited some of London’s most exclusive boutiques in South Kensington with her mother Carole Middleton on Saturday (27.04.13), on a mission to find furniture for her unborn baby’s new nursery in Kensington Palace.

The pair kicked off their hunt by having a healthy lunch at Zefi Mediterranean restaurant, where they sipped on natural fruit juices.

Catherine and Carole then headed to Blue Almond and eventually emerged carrying a large white Moses basket, priced at a hefty £295.

Izabela Minkiewicz, the shop’s owner, told the MailOnline she was ”honoured” to have received a visit from the royal.

She said: ”We spend a great deal of time making sure that we get to know the client, their particular taste and demands.”

The brunette was also seen shopping for baby items the next day at Peter Jones department store in Chelsea, where she spent hours looking at different pushchair and car seat options.

Catherine – who is expecting her first child with her husband Prince William – is due to give birth in July and has revealed the couple have decided not to find out the sex of their baby.
