The news of Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello’s separation finally broke earlier this week, after several days of rumors among the star’s fans on social networks, who proved to be veritable little detectives in the whole affair.
It was Manganiello’s rather laconic Instagram post marking Vergara’s 51st birthday that first set off the rumors among the star’s loyal fans!

“Happy birthday Sofia!!!” read Manganiello’s message to his wife of recent years, immediately drawing questions from his followers! It’s not the most spectacular post in history, indeed…
«Am I the only one who doesn’t like the way it sounds? Sofia…. not even My love, My beloved wife….» questioned one of the actor’s Instagram followers.
“Something’s not right. Cold message for her and two stories about her dog’s birthday. And Sofia didn’t even say thank you,” noted another fan of the star.
Well, the fan detectives were right!
Something’s been really wrong for a while now, since it’s official according to Page Six… the couple is no more… and we’re headed for an explosive divorce!
“We’ve made the difficult decision to divorce,” the stars confirmed afterwards, even though many of the details leading up to the split had already been apparent for several months.
Notably, over the past year, the couple had put the house up for sale… a major clue.
Then, Manganiello was progressively absent from important outings involving Sofia, including a colleague’s wedding and 4th of July celebrations.
Then, this very cold message from Joe marking Sofia’s birthday as she went off alone to Italy to celebrate her 51st birthday.
“When life gives you lemons, you come to Italy to squeeze them 😚❤️☀️”, Sofia actually wrote on Instagram during her trip, clearly indicating that something was amiss!
While it seems clear that the couple are headed for a spectacular divorce, we wish them a more cordial one than Kevin Costner’s!
