Camila Alves can’t pick up kids after pregnancy complications

Camila Alves has not been able to physically pick up her children following complications during her third pregnancy.

Camila Alves has not been able to pick up her children since she gave birth for the third time.

The Brazilian model-and-designer – the wife of actor Matthew McConaughey – endured a tough pregnancy and labour with son Livingston and since she delivered him last December she has not been able to properly care for her baby and his brother Levi, four, and sister Vida, two, due to painful complications.

During an appearance on TV show ‘The View’, she said: "I had a really tough pregnancy. I had all kind of things happen. Throughout the whole pregnancy I had really strong pains and I kept telling the doctors. We kept trying to figure out what it was, what was happening. Nobody could figure out what it was."

When it came to the birth, doctors decided it would be best for Camila, 31, to have a Caesarean section and she has not yet made a full recovery from the intrusive procedure.

However, after a month she should be back to her best.

She added: "This recovery has been extremely hard because I had a C-section and then I had all these extra procedures. I can’t even pick up my kids, really. I really have to be careful. I’ve got another four weeks to go."
