Danny DeVito confronted Arnie over politics

Danny DeVito has revealed he would regularly tell his friend Arnold Schwarzenegger he was wrong when he made policies he didn’t agree with when he was Governor of California.

Danny DeVito use to confront Arnold Schwarzenegger when he disapproved of his decisions as Governor of California.

The ‘Matilda’ actor and the action star became close friends after shooting ‘Twins’ and ‘Junior’, and Danny felt his good relationship with the former bodybuilder meant he could criticize policies he disagreed with when Arnie was in office between 2003 and 2011.

In an interview with The Guardian newspaper, he said: "Oh yeah. If I ever read in the paper about [Arnold] doing something I didn’t like I’d just call him up and be like, ‘Man, what the f**k?’ "

Danny, 68, and Arnold, 65, are to work together again on a ‘Twins’ sequel, which is rumored to star Eddie Murphy as the third brother, and the comic star was so keen to make the movie he tried to talk his pal out of running for the position of governor. Holding his hands out with one above the other, Danny said: "I was like, Governor of California, here, ‘Twins 2′, here!’

"You know, deep, deep down, I always felt Arnold was a good guy … People come into your lives you who you have a good time with, and time goes by and you still have a good time with them and you do stupid stuff with them. To me, that’s life."
