Britain’s Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall enjoyed a cup of tea as they visited London’s Borough market yesterday (14.02.13).

The future king and his wife Camilla were celebrating the UK capital’s famous site’s 1000th birthday and after walking around they decided to treat themselves to a warming drink.

Cafe owner Maria Moruzzi was shocked when she found herself making a cup of tea for the pair, and was even more stunned when Charles asked for a spoon to stir his hot beverage.

She added: ”I’m honored, this is nice, it’s something for the memories. Maria’s Market Cafe by Royal Appointment, how about that?”

Charles and Camilla also stopped by florist Sharon Crane’s stall, where the duchess was given a bouquet of roses for Valentine’s Day.

Sharon said: ”I told her ‘I’m giving you a bouquet of flowers in case your husband forgets’ and she said she was hoping to get some.”

Camilla was also given a giant chocolate heart, which was emblazoned with the words: ”love from Borough Market.”

Chocolatier Hayleigh Bazelya handed the sweet gift to Camilla, who said: ”I will have no problem munching my way through that.”
