Duchess Catherine tops taste poll

Duchess Catherine has been voted as having the best taste in Britain, who considered her an exemplary leader in fashion, lifestyle and food habits.

Duchess Catherine has been named Britain’s top tastemaker.

The royal – who was known as Kate Middleton prior to her marriage to Prince William in April 2011 – was voted as having the best taste in the country in a poll of 2,000 adults.

Pollsters were asked to define the meaning of ‘good taste’, with the majority valuing fashion sense, lifestyle and food habits, and felt Catherine, 31, best exhibited these traits.

The duchess topped previous winner, supermodel Kate Moss, earning 29 per cent of the vote, with voters praising her as stylish and sophisticated.

Catherine also fended off competition from TV presenter Holly Willoughby and singer Cheryl Cole, who garnered eight per cent of the vote each, and Queen Elizabeth, who earned seven per cent of the vote in the poll, which was conducted by TOTAL Greek Yoghurt.

Meanwhile, reality TV star Katice Price was voted the public figure with the worst taste.

Alison White, TOTAL Greek Yoghurt’s PR manager said: ”There is no doubt these findings will make people re-evaluate what is ‘good taste.’ ”

The duchess is currently pregnant with her and Prince William’s first child and is expected to give birth in the summer.
