Snoop Lion is going to spoil his kids at Christmas.
The ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ hitmaker – who recently reinvented himself as reggae star Snoop Lion from hip-hop artist Snoop Dogg – plans to show what a great dad he is this festive season by stuffing his children Corde, Cordell and Cori’s stockings full to the brim with expensive gifts.
He said: "The kids love the Dogg but they’re loving the Lion too. I like to spend Christmas with my family. I’m on the road so much that it’s important that I make time during the holidays. My kids are very fortunate and I’ve been known to stuff a few stockings at Christmas time."
However, the 41-year-old rap mogul – whose real name is Calvin Broadus – won’t be setting foot in the kitchen and plans to leave the hard work up to "the experts" because all he can whip up on the stove is breakfast food and grilled meat.
He told The Sun newspaper: "I can definitely throw down in the kitchen. I’m an expert breakfast chef and I’m a beast on the grill. But I leave Christmas and Thanksgiving to the experts."
The controversial star is a fan of a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, but has a strong aversion to Brussel sprouts and won’t allow the vegetables anywhere near his plate.
Snoop joked: "I don’t care how much butter they’re soaked in… do not put Brussel sprouts on my plate!"
