Christian Dvorak may not be a fan favorite, but he’s an honest player who does an honest job. He’s not the most offensive of the bunch, but he’s good in his own territory, and that’s one of the reasons Marc Bergevin went after him after Philip Danault left.
However, by 2023-2024, Dvo seems to be too much. Montreal wants to leave room for the youngsters, but the 27-year-old forward seems to be taking the place of one of those youngsters.
On March 15, the CH announced that the forward would undergo knee surgery and that his 2022-2023 season was over. The team did say, however, that he would be able to start next season. However, Arpon Basu said in one of his texts that the possibility of him missing the start of the season is very real.
Yet the organization said he would be last March → https://t.co/Mes7hnHdsw

So who’s right?
We don’t know, but if a publication shared by theskiersedge on Instagram is anything to go by, Dvorak looks in great shape and his knee seems to be in good condition.

Of course, we mustn’t be afraid that he’ll be 100% recovered from his injury. Yes, he looks comfortable and seems to be putting good pressure on his operated knee, but the difference between a controlled environment and an NHL game, where his knees are in precarious situations, is immense.
Still, we can be encouraged by his progress, given that he hasn’t undergone minor surgery.
Even if he were to miss the first few weeks of activity, Martin St-Louis has the luxury of being able to count on several forwards. He would have no problem replacing the number 28 center.
In 120 games with the Tricolore, the left-handed forward collected 61 points.
If he can get the season off to a good start, the center could interest a few teams, as he has in the past. Even so, he has a good contract worth $4.45 million per season for the next two years. The problem: he has a no-trade clause, which could make things difficult for Kent Hughes.

– David Desharnais had nothing but kind words for Guy Boucher, the Leafs’ new assistant coach.
Beautiful moment, as @datgregtho told David Desharnais live that his former coach had been hired by the Maple Leafs. Desharnais’ reaction says it all! https://t.co/5IPx6XB5Gy pic.twitter.com/JsIyv46poU

With the help of a six-inning scoreless performance from Chris Bassitt and a two-run homer to break the drought from Alejandro Kirk, the Blue Jays were able to avoid the sweep against the Padres and end the home stand with a win.(@ByDavidSingh) https://t.co/Bs5tyOQy8s
