Last year, Kent Hughes made a good deal when he sent Cam Hillis, who clearly had no future in the city, to Chicago in return for Nicolas Beaudin. The Quebec defenseman, who has great offensive potential, did well with the Rocket, but was a restricted free-agent player when the market opened.
Now, he shouldn’t even consider leaving (via a hostile offer): he’ll sign a two-part contract to stay with the Montreal organization.
Nicolas Beaudin will soon reach agreement with the Canadiens on the terms of a two-part contract that will allow him to cash in a little more if he plays in the AHL. He wanted to continue his adventure in Montreal, and he will.
