Christopher Bailey showcased his "sexy and sassy" Burberry creations at London Fashion Week yesterday (17.09.12).

The brand’s latest offerings were witnessed by several big names including Harry Styles and US Vogue editor Anna Wintour – who sat on the front row of the catwalk – and Christopher was delighted that the Kensington Gardens show turned out to be "really fun".

He is quoted by MailOnline as saying: "I never thought I’d get to do something like this, it’s incredible.

"I wanted to do something really playful, really fun. I wanted to make people smile, for the colors to be exciting and pop, to be juicy.

"Color makes people happy. It just felt the right moment to do it with this collection – for it to be sexier and sassier."

Christopher revealed his most colourful collection to date, which features the iconic Burberry trench coat complete with metallic pink pleats and green lace, was inspired by fashion photographer Norman Parkinson’s work from the 1940s and 1950s.

As well as Anna – who sat alongside British tennis champion Andy Murray and his girlfriend Kim Sears on the front row of the catwalk – several other stars turned out to take in Bailey’s latest efforts including ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ actor Dev Patel and Dita von Teese, who praised the collection.

The burlesque star – who was dressed in autumn/winter Burberry – said: "It was beautiful backstage. The peacock trench was stunning, and I loved all the color."

The fourth day of London Fashion Week also saw Peter Pilotto – made up of designer duo Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos – showcase their computer-generated prints under a neon light and Scottish designer Christopher Kane revealed a futuristic spring/summer 2013 collection.

London Fashion Week draws to a close today (18.09.12), with Mulberry set to take centre stage.
