CH players always wear the same hat after surgery

More news today that Kirby Dach has undergone successful surgery.

The operation was performed by Dr. Robert Marx in New York, and the Canadiens announced that the center should be 100% recovered before the start of the 24-25 season.

We agree that this is good news in itself.

Kirby posted a photo of himself after the operation and he seems to be doing well despite the circumstances:

What’s also noticeable in the photo is that Dach is wearing the same hat that Cole Caufield and Christian Dvorak wore after their respective last operations.

The Louis Vuitton hat seems to be the players’ good luck charm or emotional support:

Cool to see. The CH players – both older and younger – have great chemistry off the ice and we know how tightly woven they are.

It’s good for the organization’s culture.

Since the arrival of Martin St-Louis, Jeff Gorton and Kent Hughes, the atmosphere around the club is quite different. The management understands that it’s important to be successful on the ice… But they also understand that it can be done while having fun.

The players have to be serious about their methods, we agree. But the guys have fun, and it’s even more fun to go to the arena knowing that there’s almost no negativity in the room.

It’s an extra motivation in the end for the guys because they want to play for each other.

Fingers crossed, though, that we won’t see another player with a hat on his head in the next few months. Because here it is…

Hats also mean surgery. And right now, the CH doesn’t need to see another player go down fighting.
