Adrien Brody for Motor City?

Adrien Brody has entered into negotiations to replace Gary Oldman in Albert Hughes’ ‘Motor City’.

Adrien Brody has replaced Gary Oldman as the lead bad guy in ‘Motor City’.

The actor is the latest in a string on stars to be associated with the project – including Dominic Cooper, Jake Gyllenhaal and Amber Heard – which is being directed by Albert Hughes.

Should negotiations complete, Adrien will star opposite Gerard Butler in the film about a recently released prisoner who goes on the hunt for the man who framed him.

However, they will not have long to make a final decision on the project as shooting on the Chad St John-written script is due to begin in Atlanta, Georgia in September ahead of a planned April release date in the US.

Adrien has seen his career be relatively quiet of late, having only appeared in Woody Allen’s ‘Midnight In Paris’ alongside Carla Bruni-Sarkozy and Rachel McAdams and education drama ‘Detachment’.

He recently completed work on Chinese-based drama ‘1942’.
