David Reinbacher returns to action today

David Reinbacher has not played since October 13 due to injury.

Originally, the plan was to rehabilitate him for one to three weeks because he avoided a fracture. The news was announced on October 16.

And now… Less than three weeks after the announcement, we learn that the CH hopeful is ready to make his comeback.

Excellent news!

HC Kloten take on Zurich this afternoon. Reinbacher will have the opportunity to face Vinzenz Rohrer, another Montreal hopeful…

And Zurich is also counting on Sven Andrighetto in its ranks, a former Canadian legend.

In Reinbacher’s absence, HC Kloten have lost five of their last seven games and allowed 19 goals in that sequence.

The return of the right-handed defender could do the team a world of good, that said.

But the fact that Reinbacher took his time before returning to play at 100% is good news in itself. There’s nothing alarming about the young defender, and the important thing was not to rush things so that he could play.

That would simply have been illogical for his development. After all, there was no point in risking anything.

In fact, Reinbacher will be resuming his place on HC Kloten’s first pair on the blue line, which also gives a good indication that he’s ready to face the music.

For the record, he has one goal in three games for his club this season. It should also be noted that, after 19 games played, HC Kloten find themselves second-bottom in the overall league standings.

Will Reinbacher’s return help the team get back on track?
