1. Jordan Eberle cut by skate in practice
Last night, the Kraken recalled forward Shane Wright. We now know why he was recalled, as Jordan Eberle was taken to hospital during the team’s practice.
He was cut on the leg by teammate Jaden Schwartz’s skate at practice.
Seattle Kraken GM Ron Francis on the injury: “It wasn’t gushing but it was a deep cut, so they’ve taken him to a hospital and they’re doing an MRI.” Wishing Jordan a speedy recovery.

Eberle wasn’t bleeding profusely, but he was quickly rushed to the hospital.
With the tragic death of Adam Johnson, teams now seem to be taking more precautions regarding player health and safety.
Many players have started wearing neck warmers, and the Habs have even bought a score of neck-protecting jerseys.
Let’s hope that Eberle’s injury isn’t too serious and that Schwartz’s skate hasn’t cut a major artery.

2. Kings still unbeaten abroad
The Kings love playing abroad this season. They don’t mind opposing crowds or the hostility of other arenas.
Yesterday, they beat the NHL’s best team at home 4-1. Los Angeles now has a 7-0-0 record on opposing rinks.
Make that a 7-0-0 road record!

3. Claude Giroux loves to face the Leafs
Having been a member of the Flyers for a very long time, Claude Giroux has played some games against the Pittsburgh Penguins. In fact, he did very well against Sidney Crosby’s team.
He’s also played a lot of games against the Leafs, a team Giroux likes to dominate. Yesterday, Ottawa faced Toronto, and the Franco-Ontarian scored twice and picked up an assist.
That’s 47 career points in 46 games for Giroux against the Leafs. pic.twitter.com/VNUBuy1KqY

Forget what Sportnset wrote on the publication above: Giroux now has 49 career points in 46 games against Toronto.
In this game between two Ontario rivals, Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll didn’t look too good on one sequence.

4. Two Anthony Mantha goals in a loss for Ottawa
For several months now, Anthony Mantha hasn’t been the talk of Washington. His name is often implicated in trade rumors.
Yesterday, he did very well and perhaps increased his value a little. He scored two goals.
First, he gave the Caps an early lead.
