Conor Maynard’s new single is a "party track."
The song ‘Vegas Girl’ is about the US gambling city in Nevada – renowned for its relaxed attitude and wild parties – but he claims you don’t actually have to have been there to enjoy it.
He told BANG Showbiz: "’Vegas Girl’ is a song for everyone who loves a party track and wants to party like they’re in Vegas. I think people recognise that Vegas is the party centre of the world, and I feel like you can be anywhere, you could be in my home town, Brighton and you can have just as good a time there as you can in Vegas."
‘Vegas Girl’ and Conor’s debut single, ‘Can’t Say No’, were both upbeat songs but he promises his debut album, ‘Contrast’, will have a lot of variation on it.
He added: "I think the reason I named the album ‘Contrast’ is because there is a lot of contrasts on the album, there are those upbeat party tracks, but then there are others which are just me and a piano, ballad type songs.
"There are a lot of different types of songs on there, there’s a song on there for everyone."
Conor will be performing on the BT Vision Stage at BT’s Open House venue next Saturday (28.07.12). The Open House is part of BT London Live Hyde Park series of concerts held during the Olympics games – which start next Friday (27.07.12) – in London’s Hyde Park.
