The Montreal Canadiens trained this morning at the Bell Centre in preparation for tonight’s game against the mighty Boston Bruins.
All the players were on the ice, with all 20 skaters and three goaltenders in attendance.

Rafaël Harvey-Pinard was skating with his teammates.
The main thing to watch for with this practice was which goaltender would get the start tonight against the Bruins.
Well, all indications are that Samuel Montembeault will have the tough task of holding off the Bruins.

This means that, despite his fine performance against the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday, Cayden Primeau will once again be eating hot dogs in the heights of the Bell Centre.
So there’s no real meritocracy among goalies at the moment.
As for Montembeault, it’ll be quite a challenge for him to face the mighty Bruins, who have an 11-1-1 record so far this season.
As for Jake Allen, he should get the start tomorrow night against the Vancouver Canucks (10-2-1), another very good team at the start of the season.
Allen was sent off in his last game after allowing four goals on nine shots.
Montembeault came on in relief, and did very well, turning away 22 of the 23 shots he faced.
En Rafale

– To be continued by the Rocket.
If Jakub Dobes and Strauss Mann continue to fail, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Joe Vrbetic in action soon. He’s doing very well for the Lions, who are off to a great start this season. https://t.co/hSUVSXvvVH

– Ryan Reaves could be left out.
Ryan Reaves and the injured Conor Timmins are the only Leafs skating this morning.
Bobby McMann is obviously an option to replace Reaves on the Leafs’ fourth line tonight.
