The Spice Girls are planning to auction some of their iconic costumes for charity.

The ‘Wannabe’ hitmakers are hoping to sell some of their outfits in aid of Save the Children and Children in Need at a gala event later this year.

Victoria said: ”I’ve got all my costumes still. I can’t wait for [my daughter] Harper to grow a little so she can have some.

”But the rest I’d like to put up for charity, I think it would be a fantastic thing to do.

”Everything we did at the time was great, it really was great.

”We watched a little video Geri put together and I think we were nearly all brought to tears.”

The sale won’t include Geri Halliwell’s iconic Union Jack dress as it is currently displayed at Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Cafe but fans will be able to pick up garments such as Emma Bunton’s babydoll dresses, Mel C’s tracksuits and Mel B’s leopardprint catsuits.

One item Victoria will happily say goodbye to is the group’s infamous wedge trainers.

Geri said: ”She hated them – she wouldn’t wear them.”

Victoria joked: ”No, I didn’t, no really … I just didn’t want to wear them myself.”
