The Alouettes took to the streets of Montreal today as part of their parade after winning the Grey Cup on Sunday night.
Many fans turned out to celebrate the Sparrows’ victory, much to the delight of the players.
You’ve probably seen it in your news feed, but Marc-Antoine Dequoy made news after the victory because he delivered a powerful message about how English speakers never believed it was possible to see the Alouettes lift the trophy.
“And Arnaud Gascon-Nadon decided to give him a little gift today at the ceremony, by presenting him with a vest featuring the Alouettes player’s words.
The cherry on the sundae? On the back of the vest, it says Toronto vs. Winnipeg, because according to TSN’s schedule guide, it was a final between the Argonauts and the Blue Bombers:

Marc-Antoine Dequoy found it really funny… And it’s true that it’s quite comical.
Arnaud Gascon-Nadon really nailed it.

Dany Maciocia also caught the eye at today’s parade.
The Alouettes CEO reminded fans that the Sparrows won the Grey Cup even though CFL experts had ranked the team 9th in the league before the season began.
You can hear the passion in the voice of Danny Maciocia, who waited a long time to experience this moment:

It was a festive day for the Alouettes players…
And they finished it off in style with a meal at “La Cage” sports brasserie.
What could be better than a good poutine to celebrate winning the Grey Cup? That’s exactly what Marc-Antoine Dequoy thought:

Wouldn’t it be cool if we could celebrate winning the Stanley Cup the next time there’s a parade in town? No?

– Interesting, that, because Bichette’s market value is astronomical.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if Bo Bichette was traded.”
