You Me At Six lead the nominations at this year’s Kerrang! Awards fuelled by Relentless Energy Drink.
The British rockers have been nominated for an incredible six awards including two nods for Best Single for ‘Bite My Tongue’ and ‘No One Does It Better’. They are also shortlisted for Best Album for ‘Sinners Never Sleep’, Best Live Band and Best British Band.
You Me At Six frontmat Josh Fransceschi said: "To be up for Best British Band four years in a row is just insane. The people at the awards are gonna think there’s a problem with the slide show when our two songs come up in a row [for Best Single]…but that they’re both in that category together, showing different sides of our band is really cool."
Other nominees at the awards – which take place on June 7 – include Asking Alexandria, Bullet For My Valentine and Young Guns.
New Awards categories for 2012 include Best Film, Best TV Show, Best Comedian and Hero and Villain of the Year.
Kerrang! Editor James McMahon said of the awards: "The Kerrang! Awards Fuelled By Relentless Energy Drink remains the most important date on any rockstar’s calendar. What’s most exciting about this years nominations is how strong the new bands categories are. Of course, you could have said the same thing when You Me At Six were included in said categories a few years ago, and look where they are now. Much is made of how fun and debauched the Kerrang! Awards are. I prefer to see them as proof of how strong the rock scene is."
