Simon Cowell admits he and fiancee Mezhgan Hussainy are on a "break".
The music mogul – who got engaged to the make-up artist almost two years ago – says they’ve decided to spent some time apart and he isn’t sure if they will ever get married.
He told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "It’s quite a complicated relationship. We have had a break from each other, and we are still incredibly close, I’m vulnerable. It’s not on, it’s not off, it’s somewhere in the middle. I don’t know if I will ever get married, but I am happy."
Last week Simon, 52, insisted he speaks to Mezhgan "all the time".
The ‘X Factor’ judge – who was pictured earlier this month enjoying a Caribbean holiday with a group of women, including his ex-girlfriend Sinitta and divorcee Zeta Graff – said everything was "fine" between them, despite them not having been seen together in more than two months.
He said: "None of those women were girlfriends. They’re just friends, 100 per cent.
"I talk to Mezhgan all the time. Everything is fine. But I didn’t say there would be wedding bells soon."
Last year, Simon claimed he was "not sure" whether he is still engaged to the 38-year-old beauty, and his 86-year-old mum Julie also revealed she has not seen Mezhgan "for months".
