Iman debuts multi-million dollar fragrance bottle

Supermodel promotes rare jewel-covered decanter for fundraiser.

Next week, supermodel Iman, wife of rocker David Bowie, is unveiling the world’s first multi-million dollar fragrance bottle, reports Female First.

Working with the Somali-American fashion model, jeweler Martin Katz crafted a special luxury decanter adorned with almost 3,000 rare jewels from around the world.

Iman herself will debut the bejeweled fragrance flacon on Monday (December 5) at the New York City flagship DKNY store. The 2,909 gems make the bottle worth millions, and the world’s wealthy will have a chance to buy the rare product after its launch, with proceeds going towards the charitable organization Action Against Hunger.

An international charity that has been operating for over 30 years, the organization "saves the lives of malnourished children while providing communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger," explains the charity’s official website.

Iman has a history of being actively involved in humanitarian work, acting as a spokesperson for the Keep a Child Alive program, which provides support for African and Indian children whose lives have been affected by AIDS or HIV. She is also an ambassador for the children’s rights advocacy group Save the Children, and works with the Enough Project to help stop global trade in conflict diamonds and other minerals.
