UFO lands at Sweden’s Treehotel

The ultimate getaway – a treeroom perched in the Swedish forest.

The idea behind Sweden’s Treehotel was to offer a high-standard accommodation in a natural setting where the stress of the day quickly fades away as guests enjoy the peace and purity of unspoiled nature of the vast northern forest.

Together with some of Scandinavia’s leading architects, five uniquely designed treerooms were created in Harads (pop. 558), approximately fifty kilometers outside the city of Luleå.

The unusual treerooms, including the latest UFO design, are located 4 to 6 meters above ground – accessible by ramp, bridge, or retractable stairs – all with spectacular views of the Lule River.

Each room is unique, reports the Daily Mail. Not only the architecture but also its furniture, lighting and fabrics are custom designed.

Day-to-day operations as well as the construction are environmentally friendly, with minimal impact on nature. Each room has modern combustion toilets and water-efficient sinks. Eventually, a total of 24 rooms are planned for the forest area.
