Lanvin’s eye-catching new collection

French fashion house unveils new eyewear collection in partnership with De Rigo Vision.

Lanvin Maison and De Rigo Vision unveiled their first eyewear collection to the public. Creative director for the French fashion house, Alber Elbaz, is the creative mind behind the recent eyewear collection.

Albaz welcomed top fashion editors to a recent preview, where they were able to try on a variety of styles from the exclusive line of sunglasses which, in keeping with Lanvin’s style, combines couture details with industrial aesthetics, with a mix of both retro and contemporary features.

Screws, nails and studs are matched with precious materials such as horn, leather, crystals and stones, while metal frames featured bronze or gunmetal antique nuances. The geometric shapes of styles, either round or square, are reinvented in a palette of colors that is particularly rich in contrasts and shades.

Havana, black, ivory, grey-green, rust and natural horn streaks are the main hues of the collection. As the last couture detail, each piece in the collection carries a Lanvin logo handwritten by Alber Elbaz, and engraved on the gradient lenses.

The collection will be available sometime between February and March at Lanvin Boutiques in Paris and in Milan.

Lanvin is one of the oldest French couture houses, founded in 1889 by Jeanne Lanvin. Since September 2001, the owners have been busy returning French brand to its former prestige, with the help of creative director Alber Elbaz.
