Sothys helps keep dry winter skin at bay

French cosmetics company launches Hydradvance moisturizing treatment.

French cosmetics company Sothys has launched a new hydrating line, Hydradvance, just in time for the dry winter season.

Hydradvance includes a collection of moisturizing creams – available in both a comfort version for dry skin, and a light version for normal to combination skin – as well as a hydrating mask.

The new line includes a unique, patented active ingredient called 1055 boletus extract, and an entire treatment program has been designed around the new product range.

The 75-minute treatment program – a range of four products designed to be used at home after an intensive spa treatment – combines high-technology active ingredients with a beautician-approved routine designed to help the skin retain moisture in the upper layers while reinforcing the skin’s barrier against damage.

In a 10-person trial, the program was found to provide results after a single treatment, with 34 percent increased hydration after one week.

Sothys beauty institute was founded in 1946 in Paris, on the world-famous French fashion street, Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore. Founded by medical biologist Dr. Hotz, the company was acquired by the Mas family in 1966, and new chairman Bernard Mas decided to expand the range and begin exporting the brand internationally.
