Model behavior: Coco Rocha designs for charity

Canadian supermodel designs jewelry for a good cause.

Canadian supermodel Coco Rocha has continued her humanitarian commitment by creating a capsule collection of jewelry for Senhoa, reports Vogue.

Rocha designed a delicate lattice-work bracelet interwoven with Swarovski beads, intricate chain necklaces, and dangly earrings adorned with colored Swarovski crystals to create a capsule collection of seven pieces.

The jewelry was created for the Senhoa brand, a jewelry line that supports victims of human trafficking by providing income-generation opportunities, social reintegration and programs for self-empowerment.

"Accessorizing can do more than just complement a woman’s wardrobe and beauty – it can make a statement about what she believes in," Rocha said.

Senhoa is unique in that it operates as a social enterprise. Their programs are designed to provide economic opportunities to the survivors of human trafficking and vulnerable young women by training them to make high quality-jewelry.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sales of the handcrafted jewelry go to Senhoa’s community development projects.

To advertise the special collection, Rocha got a little help from her famous friends including Iman, Caroline Trentini, and Nigel Barker – noted fashion photographer.

This is not Rocha’s first humanitarian project, as the 23-year-old beauty also helped children in Haiti with her project Letters to Haiti.
