New Rihanna video premieres online

We Found Love "one of the deepest videos" pop star has done.

Last week, after launching the debut single We Found Love featuring Calvin Harris from her upcoming album Talk That Talk, pop star Rihanna has premiered the video online.

The male lead, model/boxer Dudley O’Shaughnessy resembles Rihanna’s violent ex Chris Brown, who was convicted of assaulting the singer in 2009 on their way to the Grammy Awards.

In less than five minutes, the video takes the viewer through the ups and downs of an entire relationship, from flirting at a skate park, to drug-fueled sexual encounters, to shoplifting, to a terrible fight in a car, and even a homemade tattoo.

Shot in Belfast, Ireland, in just three days prior the start of the European leg of her Loud tour, the singer chats to the camera in a behind-the-scenes video posted on the singer’s official website.

She discusses the video, which appears to pays homage to Darren Aronofsky’s film Requiem for a Dream.

“We’ve never done a video like this. It’s super fun,” Rihanna said. “Actually, it’s probably one of the deepest videos I’ve ever done.”

“It’s all about love – and love being like a drug – and you definitely get that from this: the good feeling of it and the dangers of it…that’s what this video is about.”

The album scheduled for release on November 21.
