Charlie Sheen, 46, and Brooke Mueller, 34, who reunited last August, are once again separated, according to UK’s Evening Standard.
Parents to two-year-old twins, Bob and Max, the couple had decided to give their relationship another chance, despite formalizing their divorce a few months earlier. Mueller moved back into Sheen’s Los Angeles home.
However, recently the couple made the decision to part ways and Mueller has since left Sheen’s house.
“Brooke tried to make it work because she and Charlie do care about each other,” said a source. “But ultimately it just wasn’t working. She’s in a really positive place now, and realized it’s best for her and the kids if she moves on.”
The couple was involved in serious domestic dispute last Christmas, which led to Sheen’s eventual conviction for assault. Both have battled drug and alcohol addiction, and have since attended rehab.
Sheen also has two daughters, Sam, 7, and Lola, 6, from his second marriage to actress Denise Richards.
